Production Process
Step-by-step overview of our production workflow.
Process Overview
The production process includes order review, file preparation, printing, finishing, and quality inspection. Each step is completed before proceeding to the next stage.
Order Review
Initial review of order specifications including quantity, paper selection, finish options, and delivery requirements. Verification of order details and confirmation of project scope. Review of any special requirements or custom specifications.
Communication with client if clarification is needed on any aspect of the order. Confirmation of file formats and technical requirements before proceeding to file preparation.
File Preparation
Technical review of provided print files including format verification, resolution checks, and color space confirmation. Preparation of files for production including color matching, format optimization, and layout verification.
Verification of bleed areas, safe zones, and trim marks if applicable. Color profile adjustments and preparation for selected printing method. File optimization for production equipment and selected paper type.
Printing
Production printing using selected method and materials. Setup of printing equipment for specified paper type, finish, and quantity. Color calibration and test prints if required for color-critical projects.
Quality checks during printing process including color consistency, registration accuracy, and print quality. Monitoring of production run to ensure consistent output throughout the order quantity.
Finishing
Application of selected finishes including coatings, embossing, foil stamping, or other specialty treatments. Cutting and trimming to final dimensions using specified measurements and tolerances.
Additional finishing processes as specified in order including folding, binding, or assembly if applicable. Final preparation of materials for packaging and delivery.
Quality Inspection
Final quality inspection of completed materials including visual inspection for defects, color accuracy verification, and dimensional accuracy checks. Comparison against order specifications to ensure all requirements are met.
Documentation of inspection results and preparation for packaging. Materials are approved for packaging only after passing quality inspection standards.
Packaging
Secure packaging of completed materials to protect during transit. Selection of appropriate packaging materials based on order contents and shipping method.
Labeling and preparation for shipment. Final order documentation and preparation for delivery coordination.
Quality Control
Quality control measures are implemented throughout the production process:
File Verification
Technical verification of print files before production begins. Format, resolution, and color space checks.
Production Monitoring
Continuous monitoring during printing to ensure consistent quality throughout the production run.
Final Inspection
Comprehensive inspection before packaging to verify all specifications are met and materials meet quality standards.
File Requirements
To ensure efficient production, print files should meet the following requirements:
- Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI at final print size
- Color mode: CMYK color space for accurate color reproduction
- File formats: PDF, AI, or EPS preferred
- Bleed: 0.125" bleed area for materials requiring trimming
- Safe zone: Keep important content 0.125" from trim edges
- Fonts: Outline fonts or include font files
